Dr. John Budin is a board certified psychiatrist with an expertise in Mood and Substance Abuse Disorders, the psychiatric complications of HIV/AIDS and psychotherapy. He is a graduate of The Sackler School of Medicine in Tel Aviv University and completed his psychiatry residency at the University of Maryland. In practice for 30 years, he served as the Director of HIV/AID mental health programs at both Montefiore Medical Center and St. Luke's/Roosevelt Hospital while on staff at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He has extensive experience as a public speaker and has authored book chapters and articles on many aspects of mental health care. He currently has an active private practice in New York City.
