The International Bipolar Foundations Speakers Bureau Program brings the passion and voices to mental health conversations surrounding stigma and discrimination.
The International Bipolar Foundation Speakers Bureau is a program that provides presentations to schools, non-profit and for-profit organizations, local community events and other instituations nationwide. You will have the opportinity to hear a trained mental health speaker share his or her experiences and stories.
In our society, the stigma around mental illness can be more damaging than the illness itself and thefore, prevents individuals from seeking the professional help they need. Through these educational and inspiring presentations, our speakers will instill education, hope and resources.

Lecture: This is the most common format, with the mental health speaker sharing his or her experience for 40-45 minutes followed by a 15-20 minutes Q & A with the audience.
Panel Discussion: This formay provides an opportunity to hear from more than 1 person. Ex: You could have a speaker with lived experiences, a caregiver and a professional. This allows the panel to have an informal discussion with one another and the audience during the program.
Book Reading and Signing: Many of our speakers have published his or her memoir and often do a book reading and signing. This format lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Program fees can vary from speaker selected, type of program format and travel expenses. Speaking engagements range between $500 to $2,500. However, fees are negotiable based on needs and requirements of the interested party.
