Something I Am Proud Of:
My journey with bipolar 2 has definitely been a rollercoaster. I was at first misdiagnosed with depression until three years later I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder 2. I’d say something I am proud of is that I’m trying everyday to put my bad habits away (self-harm and being emotionally aggressive towards myself). I have grown as a person and I am working everyday to become even better. I try my best to keep up with my good, positive habits, such as writing poetry and painting. They are definitely good coping mechanisms.
Advice For Newly Diagnosed:
My advice to the newly diagnosed would be that it’ll be okay! I know it’s a lot to process at first but you can and will get through this!! I’d also like to say that it is okay to ask for help. Help is not a sign of weakness; it’s a sign of strength!! Also, don’t let your problems become your identity. They don’t define you. You are loved; you got this!!
