Advanced Nutrient Therapies for Bipolar Disorders with Dr. William Walsh

Our present dependence on psychiatric drugs will gradually fade away as brain science advances.  Learn how brain-changing imbalances occur in bipolar disorder.  Discover how these imbalances alter brain levels of key neurotransmitters, disrupt epigenetic regulation of synapse activity, and cripple the body’s protection against environmental toxins.  A description of advanced nutrient therapies will be discussed.

Dr. William J. Walsh is an internationally recognized expert in the field of nutritional medicine.  He is president of the non-profit Walsh Research Institute (near Chicago) and directs physician training programs in the United States, Australia, Ireland, Norway and other countries.  Dr. Walsh has authored more than 200 scientific articles and reports, and has five patents.  He has presented his experimental research at the American Psychiatric Association, the U.S. Senate, and the National Institute of Mental Health.  He has been a speaker at 30 international conferences.

After earning his degrees from Notre Dame and the University of Michigan, Dr. Walsh received a doctorate degree in chemical engineering from Iowa State.  While working at Argonne National Laboratory in the 1970s, he organized a prison volunteer program that led to studies researching the causes of violent behavior.  Over the next 30 years, Dr. Walsh developed biochemical treatments for patients with behavioral disorders, ADHD, autism, depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and Alzheimer’s disease that are used by doctors throughout the world.  As author of information-packed Nutrient Power (2012), Dr. Walsh hopes to reach as many consumers about the powerful impact of nutrients on brain processes and how identifying your own biotype and taking the right nutrients can correct biochemical imbalances and improve mental health.
