What moment made you feel hopeful again?

Hope didn’t return in one defining moment—it came back in fragments. In small wins I almost overlooked. Getting through hard days without completely falling apart. Keeping promises I made to myself, even in low moments. Choosing to show up for my life and my body when it felt difficult.Over time, I realized hope wasn’t something I had to wait for—it was something I was building. Quietly, through repetition. Through choosing myself again and again, even when nothing felt like it was changing. Especially then.

How do you hold both progress and frustration at the same time?

I’ve learned they can coexist without cancelling each other out. I can be proud of how far I’ve come and still feel frustrated by difficult days. Living with Bipolar I means my progress isn’t linear—there are periods of growth and periods that feel like setbacks. I no longer see frustration as failure. I see it as proof that I’m still engaged in my healing. Progress doesn’t erase hard moments—it just means they no longer define my entire story.

What experience changed the way you view your journey?

The biggest shift came when I stopped trying to “push through” Bipolar I like it was something I could overpower. I couldn’t outwork it or ignore it into submission. Once I accepted that, I began building structure instead of chaos, awareness instead of avoidance, and compassion instead of self-blame. It didn’t make life perfect, but it made it more stable—and gave me a way to live with my diagnosis instead of constantly fighting against it.

What does a moment of peace look like for you?

Peace is quiet and grounded. It’s being present in my body instead of consumed by racing thoughts. A walk where my mind finally slows down. Finishing a workout and feeling steady instead of restless.

It’s not about perfection—it’s about balance. Moments where I’m not in an extreme, just here. And I’ve learned those moments are enough.
