Melody Lin, born in Taichung, Taiwan, recevieved her B.S. in Biology from the University of Taiwan and 4 years later, her Masters of Social Work from the University of Illinois.
During 1981-1986, Melody worked as a social worker in Chicago and Taiwan. Then in 1987, she was first diagnosed with postpartum depression and shortly thereafter, began treatment for major depression. For the next 25 years she continued to work on and off in the field as a Geriatric social worker.
Today, Melody is a medical interpreter specialized in mental health cases in Houston, Texas and is a Board Member for NAMI Fort Bend.
