Metabolic Therapies for Mental Health explores the emerging field of metabolic psychiatry through the lens of lived experience. Hannah Warren shares her personal journey of achieving remission from bipolar 1 disorder using metabolic interventions, including a therapeutic ketogenic diet. As Communications and Advocacy Manager at Metabolic Mind, Hannah connects with other early adopters of this cutting-edge approach—individuals who are transforming their mental health by integrating lifestyle strategies that improve metabolism. She will highlight the development of Metabolic Mind’s THINK+SMART framework, a self-guided tool that draws on the collective wisdom of experts by experience to help individuals create personalized recovery roadmaps. Hannah will also discuss her broader advocacy efforts through both Metabolic Mind and the new nonprofit Metabolic Collective, which amplifies lived experience voices and builds community around metabolic mental health solutions.
Hannah Warren is the communications and advocacy manager at Metabolic Mind. She writes and advocates for increased awareness of the emerging field of metabolic psychiatry. She now devotes her career to disseminating the science of metabolic therapies and working to make them a first-line treatment option. Previously, Hannah served as marketing and development director at Serenity Hospice and Home, a nonprofit serving terminally ill patients and their loved ones. She also founded Jhoole, an eco-fashion social enterprise that employs women in India. Hannah has an MA in Fashion Entrepreneurship from London College of Fashion and a BA in South Asian studies and linguistics from the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies.
