Something I am Proud of in My Journey:

As a mother living with bipolar disorder, I take great pride in the perseverance required to balance parenthood with the complexities of mental health. Postpartum depression and bipolar disorder brought heavy guilt and unexpected struggles. I had moments of deeply affecting pain—times when emotional highs and lows made even the simplest parenting tasks feel overwhelming.

But each day, I choose to show up for myself and my daughters. Asking for help was one of the strongest things I’ve ever done. Accepting my diagnosis was a valiant moment. Today I feel brave and I clap for myself every time that I recognize my symptoms and request aid from my psychiatrist as quickly as possible and without doubting myself.

I’m proud of my journey, my growth, and the love I give every day. I’ve discovered an incredible resilience within me and I continue to show up with persistence and the fierce determination to be the best human being I can be. Today my daughters are beautiful human beings who are self compassionate and respectful of others.
