Matt is a passionate advocate for individuals suffering from addiction and mental illness. Upon retiring from a successful career in sales and marketing, Matt discovered a deep yearning for greater purpose in his daily life. As the pandemic struck with full force, he witnessed a surge in addiction-related fatalities, compelling him to take action.Fueled by a lifelong passion for community service and giving back, and bolstered by over 20 years of personal experience in drug and alcohol recovery, Matt founded Newport Life Intervention, helping families who are struggling with mental illness and addiction – providing a plan and new direction for the whole family. Saving lives through intervention has become his mission.
When not working with clients, Matt along with his fiancé Taedra, enjoys gardening, hanging out with their adult children and traveling around the globe.
