Schools and students are often navigating how to respond to dicey situations. It can be daunting as a parent, teacher or administrator to maintain safety while also recognizing that kids, just like with driving, need experiences that can help them make good decisions. Drawing from twenty years of working with educators and writing about this topic in The Behavior Code, this talk will help us be less reactive and more thoughtful in our response . Dr. Nancy Rappaport is a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist with over 25 years' experience working with teens, parents and schools. Dr. Rappaport is a part-time Associate Professor of Psychiatry with Harvard Medical School where she teaches undergraduates, medical students, and residents about child development.
